I had heard about Melissa before my house was listed … she secured a neighbor a block away an exceptional offer on their home in a few weeks of listing, much more than an almost identical home next to mine received. I’ve known Melissa since 2013 when she was the founder of our Women Entrepreneurs Networking Group at the Bay Club in Carmel Valley. I’ve had the opportunity/privilege to observe her in action in so many aspects of her life and have never known someone with as much energy, integrity and tenacity to achieve all that she sets out to do. Melissa is also heart-centered and it translates with every hat she dons…and there are many. She goes out of her way to help everyone she comes in contact with both personally and professionally. I wanted to include this in my review because in addition to savvy and expertise in her field, Melissa creates wonderful relationships with her clients which is a very valuable asset to both buyer and seller. I was able to experience this first hand when I was in need of her realtor services.

I relocated to Westlake Village in L.A. county and was looking for a special kind of mixed use property in Agoura Hills, CA..This is clearly not in her area, but I called Melissa to check on a listing I ran across only to find it was already in escrow. While standing on the property and getting the news from Melissa, I was looking at an adjacent occupied property and wondered to her if they might sell. We loved the location. She asked for the address and by the next day she’d tracked the owner, made a call and connected, found out it was an income property they’d owned and rented out for 14 yrs. and discovered they’d just been talking of finally selling it. It was a difficult property simply because it was 4 parcels, 1 residential and 3 commercial. Over the course of the next several weeks, she was able to sort it out and bring the owners and ourselves into negotiations to buy the property. We all felt very comfortable as a result of her communication and knowledge. As it turned out, we decided not to purchase the property simply because we discovered the challenges we would face getting permitted by the city to do the things we’d like to with the land itself. However, through the process of her helping us, the sellers were so impressed with Melissa that they are seeking her services to purchase a condo in Del Mar. This is what I meant about building relationships and she does it in spades. When it comes to having the best in a realtor, there’s no one better Melissa.
